Help on 'Republic Editor Clipboard'

*     You can store text from the editor in your clipboard.  You save the
      current "buffer" that you are editing to the clipboard by typing
      ".copy", and you paste back into the editor at the current position
      by typing ".paste" - both obviously while in the editor (although
      you could cut from a conference post, and paste into a mail if you
      so desired).

*     Your clipboard is saved even when you log out, so you could save a
      mail you were composing to the clipboard one day, and continue it
      the next.
